Tucked just off 22nd Street in Herron-Morton, our new backyard space brings together everything you loved about your friend’s place in July: shady benches, burgers on the grill, and no one checking the time.

In a city where third spaces are quietly disappearing—where the coffee shop became your office and the park got swallowed by construction—we wanted to make room for something else.

A soft landing. A spontaneous hang. A place to go when you’re not ready to go home yet.

So we turned our backyard into just that. A new kind of space. A little more hammock, a little less hustle. The kind of patio you don’t have to plan for—but might end up staying at for hours.

A Third Space for This Season of Life

Sociologists call them third spaces. We call them necessary. They're the in-between places—not home, not work—where conversation lingers, strangers become neighbors, and time stretches out.

We wanted our backyard to feel like that. Not an “event space,” not a photo op—just a real, beautiful place to be. Designed by our co-owner Adam Rienstrom, the patio is a little slice of permission to slow down and stay awhile.

A tech-free evening with analog games, live acoustic music, and community tables lit by candlelight.

Second Sundays: Silent Book Club + Sound Bath

Stretch out in a hammock with whatever you’re reading, then settle into a sunset sound bath you didn’t know you needed
