An Experience You Won’t Find Anywhere Else
On Wednesday, June 19, Gather 22 welcomes Francisco J. Perez, the master distiller and cultural steward behind Bahnez Mezcal, for a rare educational dinner that brings the heart of Oaxaca straight to Indianapolis.
Francisco is traveling from his home in southern Mexico—where agave is harvested by hand, roasted in earth ovens, and distilled with generational care—to lead a guided mezcal tasting and share the story behind each expression.
This is not a brand presentation. It’s a personal invitation into the process, the land, and the lineage of one of the most respected mezcals in the world.
Why It Matters:
This event isn’t just for mezcal lovers—it’s for anyone curious about how tradition meets terroir, and how one bottle can carry centuries of craft. Francisco rarely travels to the U.S., and this is his only appearance in Indianapolis this year.
Gather 22 is an upscale restaurant and event space located in Indianapolis’ vibrant Talbott Street corridor, known for intimate events, curated cocktails, and globally inspired menus. This dinner is part of our Meet the Maker series, designed to highlight cultural exchange through food and drink.
